Papu Gomez is reported to have completed his move to Sevilla.
ACEHFOOTBALL.net — Midfielder Atalanta Papu Gomez has reportedly completed his move to Sevilla.
Papu is ready to leave Bergamo as he will soon undergo medical tests as reported Skysport Italy, reported from football Italia, Tuesday (26/1). Transfer market mentions he will have a medical tomorrow morning.
Player transfer agreement 32 that year namely 8,5 million euros with a contract duration of three and a half years. The Argentina international joined La Dea on a deal 5 million Euros from Metalist in the summer 2014.
He has played 252 match and score 59 goals as well 71 assist. He is one of the key players Atalanta in the last few years. But his relationship with the Atalanta coach Gian Piero Gasperini the start of this season cracked.
The clash between Gasperini and Papu was reportedly related to a change in tactics. Gasperini wanted Papu to play forward rather than dominate the field. These changes apparently made Papu dislike him.
Mutual criticism ensued between the two. As a result Gasperini didn't play him in a few matches. Since the feud, he was also mentioned as being on the selling list in this January transfer window
Despite the efforts of Gasperini not wanting to discuss further the dispute with Papu, mutual comments continued. And if reports of him having completed his move to Sevilla then Atalanta's intention to sell him was as heard before the transfer window actually happened.
