Jakarta () – PSSI General Chair Mochamad Iriawan asked the coaching staff to evaluate the performance of the Indonesian national team after losing 0-4 from Vietnam in the seventh match of Group G World Cup Qualification 2022 Asia area, Monday (7/6).
“This defeat must be evaluated by the coaching team and used as a lesson so that in the next match we can achieve positive results,” said Iriawan, quoted from the official website of PSSI in Jakarta, Tuesday.
The man who is familiarly called Iwan Bule also reminded the players to continue to focus on preparing for the next match in Dubai.
The Indonesian national team will face the United Arab Emirates in their last match in Group G of the World Cup Qualifiers 2022 Zoneel Stadium in Asia, Dubai, Friday (11/6), start at 20.45 local time.
“Players must stay focused, discipline and rise in the last match against the United Arab Emirates later,” said Iriawan.
While regarding the defeat to Vietnam, Indonesian national team coach Shin Tae-yong still appreciates the fighting power of his foster children.
“I thank the players for mentally working hard and showing hope for Indonesian football,” said the tactician from South Korea.
Defeat 0-4 from Vietnam keeps Indonesia at the bottom of Group G World Cup Qualification 2022 Asian zone with a collection of one point from seven matches. Meanwhile, Vietnam is firmly at the top of the standings with 14 points from six games.
