Jakarta () – PT Liga Indonesia Baru (LIB) considering imposing sanctions on clubs or players who violate health protocols (prokes) COVID-19 prevention in the League 1 and 2.
“We will discuss it with the federation (PSSI-ed), Will you be given a personal or club sanction later?. This will be discussed later in the sessions, ethics or discipline,” said Sudjarno at the LIB office, Jakarta, Thursday.
The retired National Police with the last rank of Inspector General of Police emphasized that the implementation of health protocols is the most important element in the implementation of the League 1 and 2 during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Therefore, he asked all participating clubs to be disciplined in running it.
“Health protocol is priority. So, Discipline from the club is very important especially when not playing, at the time of recovery. Must have a 'sense of crisis’ (sensitivity to crisis-red). LIB and PSSI are certainly difficult to control one by one,” said Sudjarno.
Health protocols in the League 1 and 2 season 2021-2022, Sudjarno continued, adopted from the Menpora Cup pre-season tournament procedure 2021.
Menpora Cup 2021, which takes place in March-April, considered successful in terms of the implementation of ln complete without cases of COVID-19.
League 1 Indonesia season 2021-2022 will start scrolling 10 July 2021 until March 2022.
The competition took place in a full league format but with a draw system. There are six series that will be held in three regional clusters in Java.
The first cluster covers West Java, Banten, DKI Jakarta. The second cluster is Central Java and DI Yogyakarta, then the third cluster in East Java.

This competition is projected to take place in a tournament format, where 24 participating teams will go through the group stage.
